Julia is a software engineer with 5 years of experience, specializing in working with early stage startups as an advisor and individual contributor. After studying at MIT for her BSc in EECS, she worked at Playground Global, a $1bn+ venture firm, where she worked with many portfolio companies. She loves building solutions to interesting, complex problems. With a wide variety of projects under her belt, she is well-versed in many languages and technologies (front-end frameworks, databases, RESTful APIs, eventing architectures, microservices, ...). She's experienced in processing and visualizing large amounts of data (>1bn) and cleaning up and organizing messy solutions. She would love to use her research and engineering skills to help accelerate the space she's passionate about - climate!
