Luke's fascination for climate and energy issues was sparked in 2013 during his early education in Geography. This passion guided his path to study engineering at the University of Oxford, achieving a First Class Masters of Engineering Science. Specialising in hydrogen energy and carbon capture technologies through research placements, Luke gained in-depth academic knowledge on these subjects. His leadership skills came to fore while serving as the President of the Oxford Climate Society. Luke furthered his professional experience by becoming a consultant at Element Energy, with a focus on emerging low carbon technologies. Presently, Luke is a PhD candidate in energy economics and policy at Imperial College London. His dedication and potential in the energy sector have earned him esteemed recognitions like the Institution of Engineering and Technology's Diamond Jubilee Scholarship (2018), the Engineering Leaders Scholarship from the Royal Academy of Engineering (2020), and the Salter's Institute's Graduate Award (2022).
