With an impressive background in sustainability and circular economy, she founded one of the very few post-consumer plastic bag recycling companies globally, and the first in Myanmar - one of the most challenging countries to operate a business. As a hands-on executive and innovative strategist, Mimi excels at deconstructing and proactively addressing intricate issues. This followed an impressive tenure as a management consultant at the World Bank Group, where she accumulated over 11 years of experience in launching initiatives in resource-limited markets (such as Southeast Asia and East Africa) across several sectors, including ESG, circularity, financial inclusion, and global public health. Her commitment and innovation in solving environmental issues have been recognized and awarded by notable institutions. Mimi was an esteemed Fellow of the 2021 Cartier Women's Initiative, participated in the 2020 End Plastic Waste Accelerator program by the Alliance to End Plastic Waste and Plug and Play, pioneered the 2020 pilot project for the first-ever Global Plastic Credits by 3RI, and was named the 2021 Disruptor of the Year by Wild Digital.
