Rowena is a seasoned sustainability expert with over fifteen years of experience and a proven record in spearheading effective sustainability strategies in diverse organisational contexts. Her commitment to environmental stewardship, social change, and corporate responsibility positions her uniquely to drive business growth and societal impact. Currently, she serves as an ESG Advisor at Sonnedix, primarily responsible for regulatory reporting requirements (CSRD/ESRS) and the advancement of the organisation's climate transition plan. Previously, Rowena led the global sustainability strategy for Smart Pension, overseeing seven territories and managing a staff of over 750. Here, she steered strategy development for various environmental, social, and governance interventions, handled obligatory and voluntary reporting/disclosures (TCFD, SECR, ESOS, GRI), and addressed investor ESG inquiries. Rowena's notable past collaborations include strategic projects with the United Nations, Google, and the London School of Economics. Moreover, she has forged successful partnerships with multinational corporations like Barclays, Shell, and JP Morgan. Rowena holds an MSc in Environmental Management and Development from The Australian National University. With a career spanning EMEA, MENA and APAC regions, she will be available for consultancy or full-time roles from October 2024.
